Homeschooling: New Family Adventure Book Coming

Preliminary illustration from the book's illustrator, HeatherBlu.

Hello Friends,

I am excited to tell you about a new book that is currently in the making.  I can hardly wait to see it published and read it with our kids.

Press Release:

New Children's Book will Magically Transport you to Mexico.
Austin, TX, February 12, 2014 - Children's book author Jessica Monnich magically travels to Mexico in her new book Double Decker Dream Machine. It is to be self published by Innovo publishing through a Kickstarter.com campaign running March 11th - April 11th 2014.This book is wonderfully illustrated by Heatherblu Patschkey. In the book, Jessica's family buys a double decker bus and remodels it. As they are modeling it transforms into a "Dream machine" that transports the family to different adventures around the world. This first book, in the hopeful series, takes us on an adventure revolving around art, culture, music, food, and history of Mexico. As a world traveler and missionary Monnich wanted to write a book that brought culture and travel to life for young readers. Says Monnich, "We believe education should be fun! I hope children get a chance to experience the beauty of different cultures through our books. And thus create understanding and compassion for the people around them."

You can find out more about the book and author and illustrator at this website. They are also seeking company sponsors, so if you are affiliated with a company, check out the website for details.

I think my most favorite thing about this book (and hopefully, series) is that each book will donate profits to an organization within each country visited.  The book will be fun, educational, fun, interesting, fun and raise money for charity.  What's not to support about that?!

I hope you'll join me in spreading the word about this wonderful project, check out their Kickstarter campaign beginning March 11, 2014 - April 11, 2014 and most of all, pray for the success of a whole series of books that are sure to be a brilliant addition to any child's library!
