My Favorite Season of the Year

It's that time of year once again!  Here in New Mexico that means the smell of roasting chiles, picture-perfect scenes of hot air balloons aloft and plenty of bunnies sneaking into our backyard to harvest more apples than we'll manage to get once the bunnies, birds, bugs and bats have their way with them!

Happy Autumn, Friends.

  1. I'm happy for cooler nights and beautiful autumn colors. (even though we don't get a lot of the leaf-changing color.) Also, happy for autumn smells and baking more and for visiting all in NM. Happy to change my home decor to autumn.

  4. Jessica, Mom has seen them when visiting in the summer. She actually pointed them out to me because I didn't know we had them in our neighborhood.

What I hope you see, too, are the owls. I've had three owl sightings since moving here -- right in our neighborhood! They are huge and awesome. D got to see one with me once. Oh, and coyotes...but make sure you have your camera. :)

Mom, I'm so excited for your visit, too. :)
