Oh. My. Goodness.
I can't catch up with my own life.
I never got Christmas cards out, so I thought, "Hey, I'll just send out Valentine's Cards!" I used a freebie deal I had to order them and they arrived in the mail a week ago. Plenty of time to get them sent in time for Valentine's.
Then there was our oldest son's birthday and planning for his birthday party (which is tomorrow), a day at UNM to see Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters on stage -- which we missed because there was no parking available for a career fair the same day -- and a quick substitute trip to the zoo, some other school stuff, errands, some deep, emotional conversations with both of our oldest kids who were really struggling with injustices in the world, more errands, and suddenly... it's Saturday. One mailing day left before the holiday.
Today, S and I took part in a fundraiser race/walk to raise money for feeding the homeless for a local organization. Now, I'm heading out the door to H's flag-football season orientation.
I simply don't know when I'll get these in the mail. Maybe by Easter?
I just can't believe we're nearly halfway through February. I mean, is Christmas already over?! My brain is still back there hoping to get thank you's out for that holiday's gifts.
Good thing for a few minutes on my blog or people might never hear from me for all the running I've been doing. Yes, we're still alive. Thank you for checking in. I'm sorry you didn't get a Christmas card, a thank you card and maybe not even this Valentine's card. Thank you for extending grace to me year-round. I require much of it. Happy Valentine's Day ... early, in case I don't get back here before February 14.
Hey, it's understandable! You have a lot going on.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Valentine's Day to you, too. (I never get behind:o)
ReplyDeleteHaha, Mom. Good one. :) Thank you.
