I pray you do not feel alone this Easter Sunday and that you will gather with others in love to celebrate this wonderful holiday together.
For those of you who are unable to gather together, you are never alone. Christ our Lord is your Father and Friend, with you always. I pray you know him well!
My first Easter gift to you this year is a video. The link to this was sent to me by my uncle and even though the music style doesn't have the stereotypical contemporary sound that I often refer to having my radio tuned into, I have never really narrowed my overall music selection and tastes to any one genre. And this song by the Barn Again Gang is very reminiscent of the feeling of Easter Sunday before it went mostly commercial. It's just homey and warm. The message is perfect. Watch and see if you don't agree.
My second gift to you (well, I'm not sure you'll think it's a gift, but I do!) is a glimpse back in time at the first Easter we spent with each of the kids. S, H and Z were first with us for Easter 2004, J was first with us for Easter 2005 and O was first with us for Easter 2007. What a joyful time it was to get to experience our first holiday celebrations with each of our children!
Anyway, it's time to get everyone up and dressed for our church service. C is already there getting ready to sing with the worship team today. Have a blessed day! (Or if you're reading this post-Easter, because you were not on the computer while celebrating this day, I hope your day was blessed.)
Love to you all.
