A Quickie Post

My day has flown by and yet I don't have much to say about it.

However, it is my parents' wedding anniversary today.  Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

In honor of them, I'm posting a video here of one of our kids' recent favorite songs playing on K-LOVE a lot (Mom, I'm sure you've heard it) by TobyMac called Me Without You.  When the first few beats of this song start up, every kid in the car is begging me to turn up the volume so we can all rock out together.  I wouldn't say TobyMac is a wordsmith in this song, however, the tune is very catchy and uplifting.

See if you don't start dancing a little by the time it gets to the chorus...

And I'm sure he meant these lyrics to be about God, but I think it's pretty fitting for a couple who's been married as long as my parents have!

I love you, Dad and Mom.

  1. Thank you for the best wishes and for the TobyMac
song. Of course I've heard "Me Without You" and really enjoy it because it's so upbeat. I have to tell you, though, I usually have K-LOVE on in my car and the Divas kids hear the music while I'm driving them to school. Last week this song came on and C asked, "Is that a Christian song?". When I gave my affirmation, he said, "That's the best Christian song I've heard!" So kudos to TobyMac for reaching the kids! :)

  2. You're welcome, Mom. That's a cool story you shared! I just heard from D yesterday that TobyMac's new album went #1 in the country on the charts (not just Christian music charts). So he's reaching a lot of people who wouldn't ordinarily hear his stuff on KLOVE.
